TEXAS July 14th, 2020 Germinator Mobile Sanitizing and Disinfecting, a broad-spectrum sanitization, disinfection and deodorization provider, is proud to announce that it has been awarded a vendor contract with TexBuy Purchasing Cooperative, a statewide purchasing cooperative hosted by Region 16 Education Service Center in Amarillo, Texas.
TexBuy Purchasing Cooperative is the Texas representative of the Association of Educational Purchasing Agencies (AEPA), a national non-profit organization whose members share the common goal of saving public agencies money. AEPA represents the buying power of 29 states and 25 million students across the country. Germinator was among a select few companies specializing in sanitization and disinfection to be awarded with the exclusive contract, which enables them to service school districts across the Texas Panhandle and the entire State of Texas. The Texas Panhandle consists of 62 school districts and two charter schools with 226 campuses in a 26,000 square-mile area.
"We are excited to work with TexBuy Purchasing Cooperative to provide our high-quality sanitizing and disinfecting services to hundreds of schools across the state of Texas," said Jeff Gill, CEO of Germinator. "As we approach the new school year, there are still many unanswered questions regarding how to navigate reopening and exactly how and when that will happen. We want to do our part in helping to create hygienic environments for students and staff and provide a sense of assurance during these difficult times."
Germinator recently opened franchises in Lubbock and Amarillo with plans to open more locations throughout Texas in the coming months. The company provides a new generation of microbial protection for residential and commercial establishments. Since February, Germinator has embarked on 19 new franchises in 11 states. With its national expansion, Germinator has provided businesses and residents a way to navigate reopening amid the pandemic.
Germinator's patent-pending methodology is the most unique and cost-effective means of providing enhanced antimicrobial protection for businesses and residences. The company first tests surfaces for ATP using a luminometer to detect light that can come from cellular activity. This measurement immediately provides the level of clean on a surface.
The next step is the application of Germinator's Genesis surface treatment. Genesis is a one-step cleaner and broad-spectrum sanitizer and disinfectant treatment that harnesses the power of hypochlorous acid (HOCl). Derived from naturally occurring minerals, Genesis not only eliminates odors at their source but kills a wide range of bacteria, including Staphylococcus aureus, MRSA, Salmonella enterica and Pseudomonas aeruginosa, and viruses including norovirus, rotavirus and adenovirus on hard, non-porous, environmental surfaces. It meets the Association of Official Agricultural Chemists (AOAC) germicidal spray standards for Hospital Grade Disinfection and is on the EPA's N List of products determined to meet the criteria for use against SARS-CoV-2, the virus that causes COVID-19. As a result, this treatment will eliminate bacteria and viruses that may reside in your environment without the use of harsh chemicals or fumes.
Following Genesis, Germinator applies its Shield, a water-based quaternary ammonium compound that imparts a durable bacteriostatic finish. It is EPA-registered as effective against mold, mildew, algae and odor-causing bacteria. This application creates an invisible barrier that helps combat deterioration and discoloration and promotes freshness for up to three months.
The Genesis and Shield products are applied by using an electrostatic sprayer, which is the most efficient and effective means of delivering the products to the intended application sites.
Upholding the highest standards of sanitizing and disinfecting, Germinator makes claims that are scientifically supported and within EPA regulations. In an effort to research and further validate its practice of sanitizing and disinfecting surfaces, the company recently created the Germinator Scientific Advisory Board. The board is made up of key leaders such as Dr. Roscoe M. Moore, Jr. who was an Assistant to the United States Surgeon General for five administrations.
Germinator was founded by Jeff Gill in 2015, with the vision of providing an effective method of proper sanitizing and disinfecting for businesses and households.
The company continues to expand across the country, providing communities with a proactive solution to help create and maintain clean and more hygienic environments. With Germinator, society can now have greater peace of mind and the freedom to live or work in a sanitized and disinfected environment.
